I wasn't expecting to see the name Will Saunders come up in the context of the war with Iraq. He was a friend and colleague when i worked in Oxford, and was very active in environmental campaigning even then. I rather lost touch with him when he moved from there to Edinburgh, and he now works in Australia at the Anglo-Australian Observatory.

I was thus rather surprised to see that he's taken up decorating as a part-time career.

What a great way to highlight Australia's assimilation by the axis of beligerance.
