Seeing someone eaten by a wheelie bin on a road you used to walk to work along.
Having autons rampage through a shopping street and underground mall you used to walk past every week.
Your expect these kinds of things to happen in London, but if still more of the new Dr Who is filmed in Cardiff, my whole memory of the place is going to be very strangely tinged with weirdness!
In other news...
I thought it was generally good as a starting episode, getting things going with a bang. In that sense it is preface. Next week starts the real story. Perhaps.
And best update of Ron Grainer's original so far...
