Not such good times today... 50 minutes in this morning and about 45 minutes back - I really must remember my start times better, or get the stopwatch on my cycle computer working. This morning there was bad luck with traffic and lights and, to cap it all, it started to drizzle as I was going down the Mall. The rain proceeded to get heavier through Hyde Park until I was quite damp on arrival.

A royal carriage was practicing along Rotten Row, but not much else was visible through the rain. However, I did hear the chimes of big ben* as I went down the Mall.

This evening was a faster run, but there was a surprising amount of traffic. I think this is at least partly a result of diversions around road resurfacing work, but this seems to be putting a large number of buses down streets not suited for it. Bell ringing practice at Shoreditch again.
