autopope and feorag. My trip here was a little more eventful that I'd've liked... It seems something rather serious borked on the West Coast Mainline near Garstang and there were no trains between Preston and Lancaster. Queue huge queue for bus replacement service. I managed to get on a bus fairly quickly (only two got out before me) by being very non-english and wandering vaguely in the direction of the buses rather than to the back of the disorderly queue. Still arrived 2 hours later than planned, just as my first meeting of the week up here was ending.
Still, food, sf and beer await!
