Hastur's on its way to the land of its fathers...

Hastur is all boxed up and awaiting shipment by UPS.

This may conjure up images of a vast wooden crate, hoardes of sanity-challenged packagers wondering what to do with their cattle prods now they've finished using them, and a UPS ship waiting to dock in the harbour, its crew quaking in their boots at their new assignment. This would be amusing but not correct.

Hastur is the name of my poor suffering TiBook, and its now packaged up for collection and return to Apple for repair. This has all been arranged quite promptly, so credit to Apple for that. Lets hope the repair and return to me is as prompt!

I wonder if UPS does have a unit for handling those extra special, hazardous packages...

It's a security risk to give out the name of your computer!

That may be the name we use to refer to it, but its not the name its referred to by a number of things, including DNS...

Oh, well ... if it's only a nickname, then that's OK :-)

Think of the last scene of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" :)

If your laptop is in the next-door crate to the Ark, maybe it will be regenerated ...
