The Polonium dirty bomb

The Russian spy saga continues. It now seems that the lethal dose of Po210 was delivered at the Millennium Hotel where 7 bar staff have tested positive for small doses of Po210, and 250 customers are being tested. Good news fro the Itsu sushi house, less good for all those innocent bystanders.

And there are confused reports suggesting that one of Litvinenko's contacts has fallen into a coma.

This story just gets stranger and stranger. One wonders if whoever decided to use Po210 is regretting it...

I hope that they are regretting it and that no one decides to do it again. Good as a James Bond plot line perhaps, not so good in real life.

One thing I've been wondering since all this came to light is "Who the seven hells would use something so stupid to assassinate anybody?" There are (unfortunately) much quieter ways to shuffle those who piss you off off of this mortal coil...
