Concern for Canadians

We heard on the news this morning about states of emergency being declared in BC and Alberta because of raging forest fires. So this is a quck note to all our Canadian friends to say we're thinking of you and hoping the fires stay well away from wherever you are!

Unfortunately, the fires *are* kinda close to one of the places I wanted to go. Hope for all of the wildlife that will be D.P'd (D.A'd?) by the fires and how much more unwanted contact with humans that will force.

Hope also for the sudden enlightenment of the smokers who stupidly and thoughtlessly throw lit coffin-nail butts out of their car windows into bone-dry ditches. That cause more than one grass fire right here in Edmonchuck last year!
