A little under 45 minutes in to work, and a little over 45 minutes home - so there is balance.
I headed in a little earlier than usual. I don't know if this is typical, but I was surprised at just how different the traffic patterns were. At this earlier time the City was much more blocked up than usual, but The Strand was wonderfully clear. The way home was a bit more frustrating. My front mud guard had got loose again so some battlefield adjustments were needed. Its screwed on a lot tighter now. And the water main upgrades have reeached Shaftsbury avenue so that was an utter disater of traffic and road works. Given how the road usually is I was surprised it wasn't totally blocked by parked coaches dropping tourist off so they don't have to walk more than a few inches to get to their bloody west end bloody musicals.
Saw a number of people getting some riding practice on Rotten Row this morning. Most were guards of some kind, some formally dressed some in camo, but there were a couple of women more dressed up for riding than anyone I've ever seen - almost as if they'd come out of Jane Austen except they weren't riding side saddle. I'm sure it couldn't have been comfortable!
