The trooping-the-colour flypasts just came past Cthulhu Towers - unless I'm misinformed we'll get the Falklands flypasts tomorrow.

I'd forgotten about this so it was only the roar of merlin engines on the Battle of Britain Flight that reminded me - so no photos of them. Next came a bevvy of Eurofighters, shown here. There were also Tornados, a Nimrod, a Trident, and the Red Arrows.

No Harriers - I guess they're being saved for tomorrow.

Just after the flypasts finished, the skies openned with the second thundery cloudburst of the day. Guess they have the weather forecasting sorted these days!

No Harriers or Vulcans. Health and Safety strikes again! As the 'planes that were most instrumental in the Falklands campaign are single engined, they are not allowed to overfly London anymore.
