The Merchants' War Charles Stross
The fantasy disguise is beginning to come apart as this series becomes the hard-SF it always wanted to be. Lots of drama and rushing about with the people the reader is rooting for (I won't say the good guys because almost none of them are) getting seriously screwed over by people who are even more unpleasant (including the US government). Not many storylines resolved in this volume, and I'm beginning to need resolution here or I might burst something, but great fun and definitely recommended.
