Worrying sight

As I entered Hyde Park by Lancaster Gate this morning I saw a huge police vehicle parked by the fountains. It had 'Marine Support Unit' on the side with the added lettering 'underwater and confined spaces search team'. The fountains had been turned off.

I hope nothing unpleasant has happened there.

Oh! That's the worst thing about an informed imagination, one's mind does not first run to kid's football stuck down drain or any such benign explanation.

I don't think they send the police frogmen out for a football - no...

Nothing listed on the news, even at the BBC's London news site, so it's probably just a training excercise
