No... Don't like this either. Way too wide!

Is this just a Safari thing, or do other browsers have this problem too?

Any way to set it right again?????

I concur.

I was just getting used to this LJ stuff, and they change the entry page.

(BTW I need to get you up to speed for when we, I mean the Edmonton gang, play HL on the "LAN").

Opera-tically functioning...

... if not necessarily fine. It's neatly sized into my less than full screen Opera window.

Actually I wouldn't have noticed the change for months probably had folk not complained. So I updated the Windows client today and now have two not-quite-familiar-enough interfaces to contend with.

It seems to work perfectly in Opera ... so far ... and so I suspect that all the people who are complaining may well be using non-standards compliant browsers. But it could be that the LJ team have been a bit too clever... I'd ask [livejournal.com profile] redbird for advice.
