I went in rather earlier than usual swo i could get to a meeting starting at 9am. There was significantly less traffic, but the fact that I took as long as usual was largerly due to traffic lights, so I think I'm getting to the practical limits on improving my time. I came back rather later than usual - that meeting again - but there seemed to be less of an issue with lights.
There seemed to be more idiot pedestrians, skaters and cyclists on the way home. I almost got steered into by a cyclist too busy on his mobile to steer straight or pay attention. The incident didn't seem to concern him at all, as he carried on chatting until I could get as far from him as possible. I also nearly got hit by a couple of kids on identical bikes in Hyde park. They, and their parent, need a bit more practice.
There were quite a few cars parked around Buck House in the morning. This might have been fall out from the Caravan Club garden party there the day before. Had the Queen arranged a sleep over?
