If this review is to be believed:

the new movie is something almost, but not quite, completely unlike the Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy.

You have been warned...

Considering that the book, the TV show, the computer game and the radio play were all different, I see no big deal with the movie also being different. I like the cuts that I have seen so far from the film and I shall still endeavor to look forward to seeing the film at the end of this month.

If it sucks, there is always Serenity in the autumn...

I have seen a couple of clips and remained unmoved - in either direction. However, I hadn't seen an image of Marvin before - I think they took the 'brain the size of a planet' line a bit too literally. They obviously have an issue with heads - after all, how many does Zaphod have? Not enough.

It may be a sign that there is a shortage of buzz about this movie that the movie review show 'Popcorn' could offer tickets to the World Premiere on the multiple choice question. Who wrote Douglas Adams' 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy'? 1. Patch Adams 2. Douglas Adams 3. Grizzly Adams usually their questions are a BIT harder than that.

Ah, Zaphod does have two heads.

OK now you have me intrigued. I have seen several clips of the film and only seen a one headed two armed Zaphod so far. I may have to see the movie now - oh zark!

Somehow, the fact that the Disney Village was plastered with posters for Hitchhiker did not inspire confidence.
