purplecthulhu at 09:54pm on 20/06/2008Over the last several weeks, maybe even longer, I've had two ideas for short stories orbiting my mind. They're completely different from each other. One is set close to home in places I see nearly every day, the other is far future, far away and really rather extreme (in a fun way!).
I've been meaning to write one of them but have so far not managed to get started on either.
Today, I decided, was going to be the day. I was going to do the London one.
And then when I sat down to write, the other one demanded attention and started coming out.
Good thing I'm not writing either of them to order or to a deadline!
So now I'm about 500 words into the far future hard SF one. Probably about another 3000 words to go.
