Good session at the writers group tonight, and I don't just mean the volume of wine consumed. My story went down well, better in fact than I think it deserved and more successfully with the newer people who haven't seen some of the other stories in the same universe than I thought possible.

I seem to be improving! But gods it feels like an uphill struggle at times, clawing your way up the mountain of failed scribblings that something approaching a writing career has to have as a foundation. And I still have a good few hundred thousand to go before the sainted million. Of course if I add in the words from blogging I get a few more inches up that hill of verbiage.

Onwards and upwards I guess...
