Apparently the US Navy has some boats to give away, at least one of which will be familiar to anyone who's read The Jennifer Morgue by Charles Stross.
Meanwhile, Mars Space Defense's consular mission in California has clearly inaugurated operations with the destruction of the Orbiting Carbon Observatory. Maybe they want us to be eliminated by a runaway greenhouse effect...
