I got a call a few days ago from Rapido TV who are producing a programme called '10 ways to kill an alien', or something like that, for Sky 1. Its an excuse for movie clips and criticism of cliche's in SF films, all in a light hearted manner. I was asked to make some scientific comments. It wasn't going to take long and seemed a reasonable thing to do, so I went to the filming this morning.
It was quite fun. I got to comment on the sound of space battles and things like that. They emailed me the questions last night, so I thought up some amusing but informative answers, and they seemed impressed with what I did.
No idea how much will end up on the cutting room floor though.
So to see the true horror of purplecthulhu on TV, tune to Sky 1 at 9pm on 23 December.
