Time in, just under 45 minutes, time back, a bit over 40 minutes. Pretty good! Even better when you consider that the trip back included a short pause to help a German tourist with a rather nice new MTB* sort out a problem with their chain. I'd been mistaken for someone who was competent with bikes (guess the biker drag works) and was about to demonstrate my incompetence when someone who really knew what they were doing arrived, and between us we got it fixed.

The suicidal tourist fraternity and sorority were certainly out today. I saw two nearly throw themselves into oncoming traffic at the top of Constitution Hill through ignoring a red pedestrian light. Others were so keen that they were even offering up their first born** for sacrifice on the Cthulhoid altar, or rather front wheel. None of the offerings were of sufficient merit to be successful though, so I, my bike and the tourists live to fight another day.

** I say firstborn as their life expectancies are clearly too short to expect them to have reproduced twice
