Just got my latest submission bounced from an online fiction publishers.
The comment they made, which given their stated publishing policy is quite fair, was that 'it read a bit too much like horror'.
So, has anyone out there got an suggestions for a market that will take a short-short (500ish words) nasty little vignette?
I guess I could alwasy publish it here on LJ, but I want to give this thing a proper chance to spread its wings and fly in a proper venue first. And sadly, I don't know the horror market that well.

You might try this?
I've not tried it myself (that would mean I'd actually finished something), but it may throw up something useful.
Re: You might try this?
That looks really useful!
A quick blasat through reveals several markets for the story that I'd never have heard of otherwise. Excellent!

Shadowed Realms, http://www.shadowedrealms.com.au/main.htm, looks like a nice semi-pro.
I use ralan.com for all my market needs. :-)
See you soon!
