From [livejournal.com profile] boubabe...

I wonder if they ought to give Carbon Dioxide warnings for this amount of travel...

Curiously they miss off several important cities, like Edmonton, and an entire continent (Antarctica)!

Actually, it makes you wonder how well-travelled the author of this test is.

So, come to a Swedish con, and I'll make sure you'll get the elk salami.

Tempting!

Maybe if the next European Worldcon is in Scandanavia...

Friends don't encourage friends to run Worldcons.

Swedish cons are relatively small (seldom more than 200 people, often around 100) and very friendly.

I came out as well travelled in Africa as the result of one week in Egypt and a fortnight in Kenya - I think we're talking well travelled by Mid West US standards. I agree that Singapore is a wierd omission.

I had to cheat in a few places, like opting for Amsterdam when I actually stayed in the Hague, Vienna and Saltburg (nearby in both cases), Brussels (Bruges), Munich (passed through it, then stayed nearby). Notice there are no Welsh cities, not even Cardiff.

I just clicked that I only got 88% for the UK, because of Belfast. Roll on independence, then I'll have 100%!

I've never been out of the continent and I've barely been out of the country, but I took the test anyway to see how well travveled with in the UK they thought I was. I got 91% without lying or even really exaggerating, and I thought I'd hardly been anywhere!

I wasn't impressed with their list of cities, but it was an interesting, if fairly inaccurate, quiz to take.

I was shocked to see that Johannesburg was missing from the choices in SA, as was Singapore missing from the choices in Asia, and Alice Springs from Australia.

Could it be that some of us are better traveled in some parts of the world then the writer of the survey? ;-)

the terms like "southern europe" and "western united states" sound like they came from the board game Risk, which might have been the writer's principle source ;-)
