purplecthulhu at 09:03pm on 21/10/2005I thought I had things nicely sorted out to get back to Brum earlier than usual in spite of a mad week of travel that's taken me to Padova (nice pictures coming soon) and Leiden. Sadly this doesn't seem to have been in KLM's plans.
Thanks to two planes breaking on them (aging fleet, not enough mechanics?), we left Schiphol 2.5 hours later than scheduled. And this was for a 40 minute flight.
So the weekend gets off to a late and grumpy start, and I doubt I'll be flying KLM again anytime soon. Of the flights I've had with them a very high percentage have been delayed. I remember a mad dash across Schipol to get a connection to Santiago after a delayed flight from Munich, and the return flight from that trip was delayed 12 hours as well - Buenos Aires airport is not a good place to be stuck for that long!
No - I won't be going back to them any time soon...
