That would probably get more money into it and people interested than anything else they're likely to be doing up there.

Apparently the 'indefinitely delayed' label attached to many of the NASA projects, including SOFIA, means cancelled but they're not prepared to admit to it yet.

This does remove one of the potential competitors to some other things I'm working on, but still it represents a vast backwards step for space astronomy in general.
